I love teaching algebra in particular because a solid foundation in this subject is useful throughout life. I've completed coursework in college-level biology, microbiology, anatomy and physiology with a 4.0 gpa.

...I did yeast genetics combining different mutations and looking at their fitness. I received A's in both general microbiology and pathogenic microbiology. In addition, I did some research in a microbiology laboratory (genetics of Enterococcus faecalis) in graduate school.

...I tutored for a year during college. I received many complements on my teaching from the support staff at UW; they were continually surprised at the knowledge and composure exhibited by my students. I am now studying at Bastyr University to become a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine.

...However, learning is a two way street and there are a few things that I will expect from the student at every meeting. The student must be respectful both of my time and of my ability to improve his/her aptitude for the subject matter. They must possess the willingness to learn because a little hard work and effort goes a long way when trying to learn unfamiliar material.
