It may seem strange to begin with a statistic, but I trust you will agree it's not wholly inappropriate. During the 2009-2010 school year, my 11 AP Chemistry students had a 100% pass rate with the following score distribution: Seven of them scored a 5, three scored a 4, and one scored a 3. The high scores are greater than three times the national average.

...I think the best part about tutoring is watching a student have that breakthrough moment where they finally grasp a concept that they have previously struggled with. For older students I find it more important to teach them how to study and organize their time. This is something that I have found is lacking in today's fast paced and technology driven world.
