When someone can understand how a concept is working then they can apply it to solve a whole range of problems and most memorization will be unnecessary. ...I received my master's in Physics from Drexel University in the summer of 2012 and am currently working on my Ph.D. I took a class in Linear Algebra at Goshen College in spring 2009 and passed with a B. Since then I have used much of what I have learned in that class and have stayed fresh on the material.
