...I think teaching one-on-one is very effective, and I don't give up until the student can do it one their own. I know that it is sometimes difficult to get excited about a particular math concept, especially when you don't think you will need it down the road. Chances are that you won't.

...After receiving a grant, the tutoring center had an opening in for BIO 110-a major only biology course and lab with about 300 students per class. I applied for the new position and was the only student selected to tutor the class. As a new tutor I was responsible for attending summer training and weekly training sessions to attain level 1 certification.
