...Helping students prepare the mathematical foundation for the challenges of Algebra is very rewarding, and working with the material in Pre-Algebra is great because of how useful it will be in a student's everyday life. ...Many times in mathematics, one is lacking the fundamentals to solving the problem, it isn't necessarily that the problem is difficult per say. Not understanding fundamental concepts prevent students from achieving their full potential. Therefore, I try to figure out what basic concept is not being understood, and then once I explain that concept, we can move forward to solving problems.
