...I taught automotive electronics for the National Guard, and my projects have been highlighted in Hollywood block-Buster movies (Red October). I teach by example, requiring the student to participate. The student is challenged to improve his or her thinking process in order to solve problems they are unfamiliar with. I use hands-on techniques to understand concepts.

...Teacher are often better at benefiting the students if they view themselves as "guides on the side" instead of being tempted to regarding themselves as a "sage on a stage". Students deserve to be exposed to information in the form that is easiest to learn for them. If this requires teacher to spend more time planning, then welcome to the profession.
