I am currently a student at Collin County College. I am pursuing a science degree mostly related to the earth sciences. I am very well rehearsed in the algebraic field of mathematics and slightly proficient in pre-calculus.

...My studies included research projects about muscular dystrophy and epilepsy. From 1997 to 2003 I worked mainly with adults with physical disabilities and sense disabilities (blind and deaf), and learned American sign language and Braille writing. Starting in 2006 to 2009 I took additional courses in child development and special education.

...The next step is clarifying what I hear with the person I am helping. I believe in encouragement and positive input to reinforce the student's confidence in himself or herself. If students believe in themselves, they will achieve a higher level of success in their learning process and be able to apply what they learn in later life.

I graduated cum laude in April 2012 with a BS degree in Physiology & Developmental Biology with a minor in editing. I worked as a teaching assistant in the physics department for a year and spent another year (3 semesters) in a microbiology lab. In many situations I have demonstrated an ability to simplify complicated topics to help others understand.
