I majored in Psychology at UC Berkeley, where I completed my degree in three years. After graduating I moved to New York and worked in finance for about 2 years. An illness in my family caused me to move back to California in early 2011, where I ended up getting a job teaching the SAT and ACT for Kaplan.

...For others, I concentrate on timing and math shortcuts to optimize their score. The ACT Science section is the only part of the ACT that differs significantly from the SAT. Many students worry about this part because they think that they don't know enough science to do well.

...Before you choose me, notice that I take your success seriously, and I usually give additional homework and expect it to be done. Finding a good teacher is the first step however there is no magic formula in learning other than hard work. I encourage learning by using a number of different Manipulatives, practical activities and various forms of technology.

...Like Algebra 1, I also enjoy tutoring Algebra 2. I really take my time with each individual topic within Algebra 2, because if the student doesn't understand one particular topic, it makes it a lot harder to fully understand later topics that build off it. I've tutored math for over 5 years and think my methods are exemplary when it comes to teaching the material.
