...Yet, it actually is quite approachable. The math portion is more about reasoning than it is about memorizing. My approach is to show the student that the reasoning required is likely contained in the knowledge and skills he or she already possesses.

I have a B.S. in chemistry from UC Irvine, after which I worked in the pharmaceutical industry for a few years. I then decided that teaching would be a more fulfilling career, so I went back to school for an M.S. in physics.
