When tutoring, I stress that multiplication/division, addition/subtraction, and squares/square roots are inverse functions, so one function "undoes" the other. Operations are always performed in pairs, so when dividing by a fraction, the fraction to be divided by is "flipped," then division is changed to multiplication.
