...I am a college graduate with a degree in Elementary Education and have my teaching certifications from the state of North Carolina. I have a wide range of skill sets for all ages and like to try to have fun while teaching. I believe in teaching through humor and spontaneity, but also realize that pre-planning and focus are more important.

...My goal with any student I tutor is to make sure they not only understand the material, they know how and when to use it, and why it is relevant. I try to follow along the lines of what a student's teacher has taught and reinforce the material. I also understand that not all subjects are the same and thus can not be learned the same way.

...As a graduate teaching assistant I taught courses in the Fundamentals of Fabric Structure which included lessons in sewing, weaving, looping, felting, needlework, spinning and dyeing. I have taken courses in draping, patterning, costuming with the UGA Drama Department. I have both a BFA and MFA and have taken numerous drawing and painting classes in both undergraduate and graduate school.
