I am an English Language professor at the University of California San Diego (UCSD). As an instructor there I teach all aspects of English: writing, grammar, reading comprehension, spelling, and pronunciation. In addition, I have experience teaching test taking skills. Although, English is my specialty, I can also tutor a variety of other topics due to my previous job experience.

...The basic skills learned in elementary math are constantly applied in higher level courses, and as a current student I am more than familiar with these skills. Having always earned A's in my honors and AP-level courses, I am very in tune with the material and study skills that must be utilized. I've taken AP Biology and AP Chemistry and am currently enrolled in AP Physics.

...In doing so, I attained very good study skills. I led many study groups at Palomar College and UCSD and helped my classmates in their test preparations. Many of my classmates expressed to me that I explained the material in a better and easier way than the professors.

I'm experienced in tutoring children in grades 1-12 in multiple academic subjects as listed in my profile. I'm also available to tutor individuals on several musical instruments including clarinet and bassoon. I've taken several classes in American Sign Language and Spanish and am able to tutor beginners in those subjects as well.
