...My general teaching strategy is the following: I generally cover the topic, then explain in detail, make the student do some problems or write depending on the subject, and finally I make them explain and teach the topic back to me. The following meeting, we review the topic once again to prove they mastered it. Upon request, I can make up my own exams.

...I would love to help you with whatever scholastic problems you are having.Algebra is far too often taught as a set of mysterious formulas. I call this the "black box" effect, because one cannot see inside a black box so one does not know how it works. Similarly, if a student does not understand how an algebraic tool works, he or she is forced to memorize how to use it.
