I have been playing chess for several years and I am able to teach a beginner the basic moves. There are certain styles of chess (openings, middle game, and end game) that are quite popular and effective. Chess is a lot of fun and I find that it is quite helpful in getting players to think about cause-and-effect, consequences, and life.
