...I am happy to tutor in all levels of Latin and to add supplementary readings, if desired, to add ease to reading Latin. As a Liberal Arts major, I have a lot of experience writing academic papers in Formal English. I wrote a 100 page undergraduate thesis, a 20 page research capstone, and at Cambridge wrote 2 smaller research papers (one of which is awaiting publication) and an MPhil thesis.

...As an ordained Lutheran pastor I have done much teaching in the area of religion. From 1966 to 1975 I taught Greek at Muhlenberg College, Allentown, Penna. I have also used Greek teaching classes in Bible and church history at Union Theological Seminary, New York, New York Theological Seminary, New York, and Moravian College, Bethlehem, Penna.

I am finishing my PhD in Greek and Latin this winter. I have taught full course loads of Greek and Latin for three years at the University (beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels) and have also been a tutor for freshmen for several more. In addition, I have been nominated for teaching awards and am currently an on-call Latin faculty member at a local private school.

...Students in first or second year Latin will learn to read with comprehension as well as recognize grammatical forms and basic syntax. Advanced students, in the third or fourth year of their studies, will likewise improve their reading ability, both in comprehension and facility.
