I graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with honors in May 2005 and went on to receive my Masters degree in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Georgia Institute of Technology, also with honors. I recently completed my PhD in geochemistry at GSU.

...It is such a cool subject because it changes your view of the world around you. For example, instead of just seeing a tree, after biology you can almost visualize the plant cells converting sunlight into energy. You have a new appreciation for life because you understand it at a more fundamental level.

...I have also taken Critical Reasoning, which provided a linguistic side of logic unrelated to math theorems, propositions, corollaries, axioms, etc., but which did still include discussion of modus ponens, podus tollens, etc. I am eager to discuss logic with an interested student. I do not actively use MATLAB on a daily basis, but I enjoyed the interactiveness of the program and language.

...I now work at the University of Colorado at Boulder in the Physics department as a Laboratory Coordinator/Instructor.
