...I briefly taught at the University of Houston as a TA and this is how I discovered I really enjoy teaching. While at UH, I taught chemistry lab, but I also worked with students on their math and physics courses. My love for teaching now has brought me here to WyzAnt where I am hoping to find students who I can explain in easier terms what they are having problems in.

...Calculus, Trig, Geometry and others hinge on your understanding of the fundamentals of algebra. This is my favorite subject to teach, why? Because there are multiple ways to find the right answer, and I can always find a way to help the student understand the material in their own way.

Having been a teacher in secondary and tertiary level for more than a decade, I have encountered students with different learning needs. Some need proper learning strategies, some require immediate feedback on their work, some look for positive reinforcement while some want to pass with flying colors. No matter what their needs are, I believe every student has his/her own potential to succeed.
