I call this the "black box" effect, because one cannot see inside a black box so one does not know how it works. ...Also, I helped out a lot of my classmates that had difficulties in this subject. In 11th grade, I took AP Calculus and Honors Precalculus, because my teacher thought I could do it. Precalculus was a breeze, but it did help when I took my AP Calculus exam.
