I graduated from Wheaton College cum laude in 2008 with a major in Spanish, a minor in Theology, and a certificate in Urban Studies. Since then, I have worked in the Chicago Public Schools system as an elementary school teacher. I have tutored students in a wide range of subjects, from math and science to literature and history.

...While attending college and working at the IIT campus, I played saxophone for 16 years with the IIT Jazz Band under the direction of Neil Dunlop, an instructor at the Vandercook School of Music. The IIT Jazz Band performed throughout the Chicago area during this time. My three children wished to play the saxophone as well, so I taught them.
