As a certified math teacher in Cy-Fair and as a tutor, I believe that anyone can learn and understand math. Those problems that appear complicated are just a series of simple concepts. Typically, if math is complicated it's because the method of instruction is complicated.

...After TTU, I moved back to Houston and started working in various industries as a chemist and enjoyed it. I briefly taught at the University of Houston as a TA and this is how I discovered I really enjoy teaching. While at UH, I taught chemistry lab, but I also worked with students on their math and physics courses.

...In addition, I was the Mathcounts competition coach for 6 years. The strategies I taught in the Mathcounts program are identical to the strategies used to solve SAT math problems. While in college, I worked for my professors and tutored college students in Calculus I, College Math, and Geometry.
