...I was a Home school student and my mom made sure that we had a very strong Math foundation before we were allowed to move on. I do not think we were allowed to use any kind of calculator until around 10th grade. I feel that same way I believe that a strong Math foundation makes a huge difference in any students total academic potential.

I have worked with adults and children since joining the military. Every job that I have had was in some type of customer service with training component. I have been a mental health training and community mentor for youth and adults since 2007, but again I have been teaching for all of my adult life someone else the resources that they need to survive in life.

...I find that practical methods work best. Not just answering questions for the sake of getting the right answer, but figuring out how the topic can be applied in real life. If the topic becomes interesting it is much easier to learn.

...Reading is a necessity even in the era of computers and internet. Great understanding of read material will help your child succeed in all other subjects and will help him achieve more in life. It is definitely worth investing in.
