...I use the Socratic method a lot, asking the student questions and building on the response. I did some Skin diving from 1966 to 1975, and back packing from 1969 to 1975, mostly in the Olympics. I've also done some sailing, both cruising and racing.

...I also like math particularly algebra.I have a BS in Biochemistry from Iowa State University and a MS in Molecular Cell Biology from Washington University in St. Louis. I worked for over 10 years in science research labs at Washington University on various cell biology problems including cell transport, cell communication and cell signaling.

...Once I got to graduate school, I struggled while other students excelled. This forced me to look into being organized, finding the best methods of studying, and prioritizing my time. Studies have shown that forcing one to recall information is a much better method of learning than simply reading and taking notes.
