...I recommend using Eclipse or NetBeans as an IDE as it helps to catch syntactical errors early on. I am most familiar with Visual Basic for Applications, particularly in use with Microsoft Office products such as excel, word, access, and outlook. That being said, I also have experience with writing standalone vb scripts to automate tasks in windows.

...Many of the concepts in it apply to real life and are more intuitive than a lot of students believe. That being said, it can be challenging and I work hard to make it straightforward, provided extra material for extra practice as needed. I have taken all 4 semesters of Calculus and also a partial differential equations class which deals especially with 4th semester Calculus.
