...In 2007, I received an award from the Hobart Chamber of Commerce as the outstanding secondary educator of the year. I feel that my experience has allowed me to reach students of different ability levels in an effective manner. I believe that I have been able to note the common pitfalls and struggles that students have with topics and can guide them through these difficulties.

...One of these new bands, 89Minds, is a collaborative music project I am very excited about. It involves conceptual themed music and performances, infusing music with live accompanying visuals. Though I have not taken class-room guitar lessons, I feel highly qualified in teaching beginner guitar lessons to young students.

...One main difference (besides focusing on algebra and geometry instead of precalc) included myself in attendance during the main lecture to aid students during in-class exercises and quizzes. These classes were a bit fast-paced in comparison to those during the main school year. In one summer we would hold classes for two entirely different groups of algebra pupils.
