...I know that it is sometimes difficult to get excited about a particular math concept, especially when you don't think you will need it down the road. Chances are that you won't. But what you will use is the critical thinking skills that you learn by solving that problem.

...I understand that all children learn differently so my tutoring methods change depending upon the need of the child. Regardless of the preferred learning style of the child I do find it useful to use examples that pertain to, or interest the child. This is because I have found that children are more engaged and more willing to try if they are interested in what they are learning.

...I also am an avid photographer & musician. I've done freelance photography work for 8 years, and I have been playing piano for 13 years, guitar for 8, and ukulele for 3 years. I can give lessons on basic photo techniques (and advanced techniques if you have a SLR camera), plus piano, guitar, or ukulele lessons.
