...I've grown up enjoying and excelling at mathematics. Within my family, we always thought math was fun. I feel that positive relationship to mathematics was of great benefit to me.

...For example, I use drawing pictures and graphs to explain concepts, instead of just describing them verbally. I am patient with students who need repeated explanations of concepts. After determining where the student needs help, I am able to explain the concepts and follow-up to make sure the student understands.

...I lettered in Varsity and freshman track and field for University of Pennsylvania, reaching 48.4 as my best 440 time, 46 ft 3 in in the TJ and 22 ft 10 in. in the LJ as a freshman. I ran for the Philadelphia Pioneer Track Club with several world record holders who provided a wealth of coaching knowledge. I still hold the my high school records in the TJ and MR at 45 ft and 3:21.3.

...The SAT math section is all about mastering the fundamentals of a problem and figuring out the best way to solve it. When I studied for my math SAT section, I learned how to break down word problems into as simple of an equation as possible. After receiving a 790 on the SAT Math section and a 780 on the SAT II Math 2 subject test, I began to tutor students on the math section of the SAT.
