...My SAT English was 770 (writing) and 690 (reading), and a perfect 12 on the essay. For teaching experience, I spent one quarter of college in UCI's Humanities Out There program, which connects students to local high school English classes to teach literature. We taught and analyzed a classic high school level novel (The Scarlet Letter) with junior year students.

As many students have experienced, Calculus is not an easy subject. It requires full background of math from the basic skills at the elementary to Algebra, Geo, Trig at the high school level. Without deep knowledge of the fundamental concepts, many students easily get frustrated and discouraged during the courses.
