Most students who come to me have been having trouble for a long time, but managed to get by. My first goal is to help them with their current difficulties and homework. But then I take them back to the beginning, find out what they missed learning, and correct that.

...I have taken Honors Biology and AP Biology in high school, earning As in both classes. I also many courses at UC Berkeley including General Biology, Human and Exercise Physiology, Anatomy, Genetics, and Biochemistry. I took AP Calculus BC in high school and earned a 4 on the AP test with a 4 for my AB sub score.

...My method is to make sure the student has a firm grounding in basic mathematics and is able to enjoy learning prealgebra, not just approach it in a mechanical way. Applications to real life often will motivate students to learn the basics and advance their mathematical skills. I have extensive experience tutoring students in writing.
