I set my price a little lower than what I used to make because I have been out of the game for some time. I believe honesty is important and I think it's fair that if I decided to take a break from tutoring I have to accept a break in my pricing. Also, I value relationships and results over money.

John was very patient with my son and gave him the attention needed. My son's first Algebra II test was today, since seeing John, and his comment was, "that was easier than I thought it would be and I had 20 minutes left." He usually runs out of time during his exams!

...As a teacher, my strategy is to break the topic down to its simplest concepts. Once the student has mastered these concepts, we will put them to use in working through examples and problems of varying difficulty. This way the student builds confidence in his or her problem-solving ability.
