...I have a Masters degree in Molecular Cell Biology. In earning that degree, I took a number of classes is genetics. I worked in a laboratory for many years using my genetics knowledge daily to replicate and modify genes.

...We do experiments and look for patterns. (This is the inductive part of science.) Once we find a pattern, we explore it a bit, seeing if it always works. Can we find any exceptions to our pattern? If we can't find any exceptions, then we have pretty good evidence that it is "true," but this isn't proof.
