I have nearly twenty years of education experience in a wide variety of studies. I primarily teach music, including private lessons on guitar, piano, bass, and theory. I have worked extensively in the public school system as a Science Program Presenter at a local planetarium and also as a substitute teacher and long-term substitute teacher.

...Part of my duties include teaching students the rules of chess, basic opening principles, middlegame strategies and plan formulating, and endgame technique. I also prepare a biweekly lecture focused on highlighting an important motif through an illustrative Master game. I have also worked as a private chess tutor whenever the opportunity has presented itself.

...I currently study the game in deeper detail through a computer program called Chessmaster, as well through books. My favorite opening is the "Giuoco Piano" opening. As a Biology major I studied Organic Chemistry, both in the textbook and in the laboratory, for two full semesters.
