Before teaching high school I taught physics, astronomy, and geology at the college level and during graduate school I tutored college students in all of these subjects. For the past nine years, I have spent my summers teaching at summer camps for gifted students.

When tutoring in one-on-one situations, I always strive to explain it in a way the student can grasp, and this always leads to positive results. I have been the lead instructor for freshman algebra courses at several local colleges for over a year.

...Proficient reading depends on the ability to recognize words quickly and effortlessly. If word recognition is difficult, students use too much of their processing capacity to read individual words, which interferes with their ability to comprehend what is read. I myself have taken the ASVAB because it was my intention to go to the Air Force.
