...I currently have over 60 college credit hours. My favorite age group to work with is elementary school but I am open to other age groups as well. I tend to favor a hands-on approach and feel that most kids learn best when they can relate their schoolwork to real life.

...I had an amazing professor that helped me figure out what my mental block was, and I take that method and help other discover their own block. Physics is generally the Science class most requested for tutoring. It is a matter of being able to look at the big picture, and taking science concepts and math concepts and putting them together.

...First of all, there are the 44 basic phonic sounds to the English alphabet, followed by blends, dipthongs, digraphs, etc. Then there are the sight words and some words do not follow the same rules. So, the child needs to be taught how to read 'ph' like an 'f', and 'g' has 2 sounds, a 'g' as in 'gurgle' and a 'j' as in 'gauge'.

...Upon receipt acceptance by the State of Texas, I will be ESL EC-6 certified. I have completed my course work for my EC-6 ESL/Generalist certification. My anticipated certification date is July 2013.
