I offer Math and Science tutoring for students located in the NW suburbs of Chicago. My degree is in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University. I have worked in many positions related to the field as well as in software development.

...While these subjects are my main strengths I am also available in other subjects such as History, English, and Biology. My tutoring style for math based subjects usually entails learning through examples or sample problems. Generally, I try to start basic and work up to more complicated sample problems.

...Some dedicated one-on-one time with a tutor really helps to fill the gaps that make math such a struggle. Discrete math covers many application areas, but the defining characteristic is that the areas all map onto the integers versus the continuous real numbers. Thus, combinatorics, set theory, graph and tree theory, boolean algebra, etc. fall within the simple name of 'discrete math'.

...While at UIC I have gained experience tutoring college-level mathematics, from basic Calculus to Real Analysis and Abstract Algebra. I have also been a TA for Business Calculus and Calc I and II, and I am a lecturer for a basic Algebra course during the summers. I decided to go back to graduate school so that I can become a math professor, and hopefully pass along my love of the subject.
