...During my Master's studies I took two introductory courses in New Testament Greek, followed by a reading course in New Testament and Classical Greek texts. Afterwards I took a reading course in Plato's Gorgias and an independent study course in Plato's Phaedo. During my Doctoral studies I took reading courses in Homer, Herodotus, Epicurus, Plato's Statesman and Aristotle.

...My primary focus is Latin grammar, and I believe in giving my students a strong grammatical basis which they can use to quickly and easily enter the world of Latin poetry and prose. My teaching is inspired by Wheelock's Latin textbook, and I also incorporate oral Latin and composition into my teaching. Ancient Greek is my favorite of all the languages I know.

I have been a private tutor of Latin and classical Greek since the mid-1990s, and I am also a college-level Latin instructor. I have both undergraduate and graduate degrees in classics, for which I studied not only Latin but classical Greek.
