I am currently a math teacher in the Amphitheater School District. I am currently teaching Geometry and Algebra 1, and would love to tutor you in any of these subjects. I can also tutor in ACT/SAT math, algebra 1, algebra 2, precalculus and in Calculus.

...The eye contact is necessary because you want to make sure the student is following what you are saying and not getting lost or bored. The hard work is necessary because students can't just listen to what you say and memorize it. They must do it for themselves.

...Linear equations can be used to approximate more complicated systems. As an actuary we used a 6x6 array to approximate complicated calculations of Social Security benefits to speed up computer calculations of pension benefits payable over the working lifetime of participants in pension plans. I took linear algebra as an undergraduate at Georgia State University.

...In high school, I excelled in I.B. Biology (higher-level) and Math (standard-level). Science isn't my only forte. In high school I took a graphics design class, became proficient at Photoshop, and was awarded Graphic Designer of the Year.
