I enjoy interdisciplinary lessons that cover wide bodies of knowledge and involve cooperative efforts. I have taught successfully at all age and ability levels from Kindergarten through the university level. I most enjoy literature and critical reading, especially when a writing component is included.

...With every process, there is a series of steps or actions that need to be completed and mastered in order to attain the desired result. I like to use the analogy of building blocks when explaining how one learns to read. First, there needs a solid foundation - without that, the process will continue to break down and crumble, just like a set of building blocks.

I am currently a senior Elementary Education major with a Special Education concentration at the University of Delaware. I have spent the past two semesters working in elementary school classrooms, as well as helping my sister in her classroom during my winter breaks.
