...I have mentored high school, college and graduate students during my tenure as a Ph.D. candidate. I have taught freshman level Biology (Biology 1406) at Richland College, however, I currently teach Microbiology. Additionally, I work as a Laboratory Teaching Assistant at SMU for both majors and non-majors biology.

...My studies included research projects about muscular dystrophy and epilepsy. From 1997 to 2003 I worked mainly with adults with physical disabilities and sense disabilities (blind and deaf), and learned American sign language and Braille writing. Starting in 2006 to 2009 I took additional courses in child development and special education.
