In addition, unlike many tutors, I also teach my students how to write clear, concise, coherent sentences, paragraphs and essays. I have found over the years that inadequate writing skills are often just as much an obstacle to academic success as poor reading skills.

...From 1974 through 2000, I was a professor of Classics at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. I taught courses at all levels of ancient Greek. Classics journals have published many articles that I wrote on aspects of ancient Greek literature.

Finally, I passed the New York state bar exam which covered criminal law/justice. I graduated with an A.B. in Classics from Princeton University in 2004 and studied Latin for a total of 11 years.
