...I teach reading music in both treble and bass clefs, time and key signatures. I also teach Solfege (Do, Re Mi..) and intervals to help with correct pitch. I use IPA to teach correct pronunciation of foreign language lyrics (particularly Latin). I have a portable keyboard to bring to lessons and music if the student doesn't have their own selections that they wish to learn.

A big reason I became an English major as an undergraduate--and why I continue to study communication as a graduate student--is that I am curious about the kinds of stories we tell ourselves and each other, how we tell these stories, and why we tell them.
