Most students who come to me have been having trouble for a long time, but managed to get by. My first goal is to help them with their current difficulties and homework. But then I take them back to the beginning, find out what they missed learning, and correct that.

A strong liberal arts education and a long career in statistical modeling have left me filled with facts and skills that I am motivated to pass on. Most important of these is a strong intuition for rooting out problems in analyses and finding alternative ways to make things work. I believe these are both teachable skills.
