...I'll try to teach it so the student actually understands the material, instead of simply getting a correct answer. If necessary, I could probably teach the piano and guitar as well, but I haven't been practicing the piano much and I'm still working on my guitar technique. Unfortunately, I do not tutor in foreign language.

...I have experience teaching Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry, and Statistics. I have worked with all levels of students, and have a variety of ways to reach each student. ...In Sept. 2010, I took the ICTS content tests for Spanish and French and passed both. This is a requirement for high school teachers of these languages. Here's feedback from the mother of one of my Wyzant students from May 2011:

...My tutoring style focuses on direct interaction and practice. I do not believe in lecturing; rather I believe in equal amounts of participation on both my part and the student's. My tutoring will also focus on working on both the strengths and weaknesses in a subject area, for a student.

...They have all done very well in algebra, and math in general. Pre-algebra is really algebra with simpler problems. I have went through several ACT practice tests with my children.
