...I have noticed with students as well as myself that once you understand something, such as how electrons move in Organic Chemistry reactions, memorization is not needed. You will understand the actual concept, which is much more important. For less conceptual subjects such as math I stand by the quote "Practice makes perfect," because indeed that is the case.
