...I had a hobby that was closely tied to ecology, and through those I became fascinated with biology. For about three years, I led 25 students through 3-hour lab sessions multiple times a week. We all cooperated to learn many things including: how to use a microscope, how to perform a dissection, how to extract DNA, and many more.

The student must be respectful both of my time and of my ability to improve his/her aptitude for the subject matter. They must possess the willingness to learn because a little hard work and effort goes a long way when trying to learn unfamiliar material.
