I am a retired French and Spanish teacher who is also qualified in English, Algebra I, and history. I am missing my students and wanting to stay active in the teaching field by tutoring. I lived in Paris and studied at the Sorbonne.

...What I learned from them is that to be a good tutor, you've got to put yourself in the student's shoes. I start with what you know, and I build up on your knowledge from there. This makes for effective, positive tutoring sessions that leave the student with a desire to learn more instead of a dread of the subject.
