...The root of many academic problems students have stem from a lack of proper study skills. These skills are necessary for all subjects and, once mastered, can open many doors. I have the determination and patience to go through the problem areas and work through better study habits.

...My favorite stroke is the butterfly, and during a training camp with Olympic Gold Medalist Rowdy Gaines, he hand selected me out of the entire training camp as an example of perfect form for each stroke. In high school, I volunteered as a swimming coach, and I continue to swim in college. I took the MCAT in July 2012.

...I tutor for a variety of age groups and have experience in assisting children. I know it requires a lot of patience, and I have all the patience tutoring requires. In my opinion, Elementary schools provide a foundation of learning in the classroom, and I strive to reinforce this content at home.

Now, I am also participating as a peer tutor at the University of Miami. I like to tutor by enabling the students to learn in a way that would promote their independence in the future as I pass on my learning skills.
