...I did not really begin to appreciate the genius of Isaac Newton until I was asked, as a young NASA employee, to code a computer program to solve orbital rendezvous problems. To this day I am overwhelmed whenever I think of his gifts to us. Mechanics is the basis of physics, physics is the basis of most fields of application, particularly in engineering.
