Having passed the CBEST (on the first try and with a, rarely achieved, perfect score in the English section), I'm eligible to work as a substitute teacher in the LAUSD. Over the years, I taught all the levels the program offered, from level 0 (no English whatsoever) to level 6 (ready to take the citizenship test).
