I was a molecular and cell biology major at UC Berkeley, graduating in May 2012 with a 4.00 GPA. I took a semester of general chemistry, receiving an A+. I also took two semesters of organic chemistry, receiving an A+ in both courses.

...With the way that I approach these students and by teaching them that their mistakes are ok, they gain confidence to keep at it. After gaining that confidence I begin to push them to find out what they do know and how to apply it to the problem, giving them added confidence. It is then that we analyze together where they made the mistake and work through the problem correctly together.
