...I have a couple of unique experiences that I believe would help me provide effective tutoring services. I am a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer from Mali, West Africa. During my service, I taught a couple of classes at the local middle school including substituting for the math teacher on occasion.

...As a teacher and tutor, I've had quite a bit of experience teaching study skills to my students. It is beneficial for every student to know how to stay organized, stay on schedule and plan the steps to complete each assignment. Skills such as, scanning material before reading it completely and outlining ideas before writing, are important to know.
